While getting to Tucson yesterday there was a strange nostalgia. Only 2 months back I had been there as also 3-4 times in the last few years. But this was different. I was going to Tucson to go to Kitt Peak. Tucson was the first place I had been to in the US and that was because I was to observe Sersic-Pastoriza galaxies at a 1-m class telescope. I had encountered many surprises there. Taxi-drivers discussing law; being given the keys to the dome and asked to observe all alone; the variety filled dishes etc. As it happened I was fogged out then.

Another biggest fall yesterday. BSE -646 , Nifty down by 194.

परवा ५००+ पॉईंटस नी मार्केट पडले, काल परत ३५०+ नी वर आज सुरुवातीला ५०० नी निगेटिव्ह व आता थोडे रिकव्हर होत आहे.

The rupee climbed towards a nine-year high on Thursday, but suspected RBI intervention and dollar buying by oil refiners halted its ascent, traders said.

At 10:25 am (0455 GMT), the partially convertible rupee was at 40.36/37 per dollar - near a nine-year peak of 40.28 it hit in May. It closed on Wednesday at 40.40/41. "There was some decent (dollar) buying by state-run banks around 40.36 and it may be on behalf of the RBI.

कालचा दिवस (१८ ज़ुन) कदाचित एक महत्वाचा दिवस ठरु शकेल. कारन काल सर्व ईतर ईंडेक्स पडलेले असताना ( देशातील जसे auto, bank etc) BSE मात्र वर गेला. बहुतेक चर्नीग सुरु झाले आहे. जर हे खरे चर्नींग असे तर BSE ७ ते ८ टक्याने पडु शकतो.

मी आज माझा आवडता शेअर NTPC ची कुंडली घेऊन बसलो होतो. येत्या तिन महीन्याचे ऑपश्न कोट बघीतल्यावर मला एक युक्ती ( की स्ट्रटेजी) सुचली.

सध्या रुपया ला चांगले दिवस आले आहेत, हे तसे ईकॉनॉमी सुधारल्याचे लक्षन आहे. पण देशाची अर्थव्यवस्था खरच सुधारली आहे की रुपायाची सध्याची वाढ ही तात्पुरती आहे हा प्रश्न बहुतेकांना आहे.
