Birmingham is really sweet. You will realize that only when you leave birmingham. I stayed there for 2 years. I found people more friendly and open compared to other parts of USA I stayed.
Visit India heritage grocery shop (owned by marathi Mr Sane), they will introduce you to marathi janata.
Birmingham madhe baghnyasarakhe
1. Mount Cheha State Park (my favourite)
2. Desoto Falls
3. Hindu Temple (Newly constructed, lots of activities, the busiest temple I have seen in US)
4. oak mountain
5. benz museum
6. zoo and botonical garden
7. huntsville nasa center
8. white water rafting at great river canyon park
..... and many more

Thanks Pavi, Itsnits! Majha ek friend aahe tikade. Mi tikade tyaala bhetaayla jaaycha vichaar karat hoto. Mhantla aadhi vichaaraava tikade kahi vishesh aahe ka, nahitar tyaalaach ikade Bloomington, IL la bolaavla asta. Pan barach distay baghaayla.
