Dear fellow marathi friends,
I am an electrical engineer, from Mumbai, (BSEE from Pune University) with 10 years of consulting engineering experience, primarily with large multidisciplinary consulting and design and build firms (experience working with Indian companies like Humphreys and Glasgow, Jacobs Engineering, Tecnimont ICB).
I am planning on relocating to USA and have some job offers. Once of them is almost in the final stages and is based out in NY.
Could anyone guide me to the range and level of salary I could expect to be paid?
I did some survey on my own from different websites like Salary.com etc. but I believe my foreign (to US) education and foreign and metric system experience does not really give me the same advantage as that of a fellow american engineer. Thus my expectations based on the salary.com's reports have been "termed" as too high by the potential employer.
Also if I do take up the job, could anyone please let me know a good place for family living (Family of 3) when working in New York (Work place will be Church Street for 6 months and then in Queens in the field office for 2-3 years)

लहान मुल असली तर Chattanooga ला Rock City मुलांना आवडते. Nursery Rhyme चे characters आहेत. Ruby Falls, underground falls पण सुंदर आहे. जवळच Land Bet the lakes चा सुंदर spot आहे. वेळ असला तर अपुर्व म्हणतो तस Smokey Mountains पण तिथे दोन दिवस तरी रहायला पाहिजे. तू कुठून येणार आहेस त्याप्रमाणे जास्त सांगू शकेन.
