If anyone who is giving/given PMP exam and was audited during the course of approval process, what documents were required to be submitted in order to prove experience/authenticity?

Any help will be appreciated....

CSQA certification...

To study CSQA:

If you have basic quality knowledge, it really helps a lot.
Apart from that CSQA study is a must. All the questions are BASED on CSQA directly or indirectly.

The objective are quite easy if u have read the CBOK thoroughly. Ideally three readings of CBOK shud be great, but atleast two are required.

In objective, generally, like PMP, out of 4 two answers are absolutely WRONG, but two are close. you must be able to decide between these two close answers.

If you know someone who is giving CSQA, form study groups and have discussions on case studies.
You will find sample case studies on yahoogroups.
Subscribe to "cqafolks" and "csqa_pune" yahoo groups. there is material uploaded at this place.

Also there are discussions that go on between members of this group.

Practicing case study is also important. For this, take printout of case studies and actually right down points. The answer is expected in the exam in bulleted points with a pencil. so practice righting.

Info about the exam can be found on
www.softwarecertifications.com.

Amit,
It stands for 'Certified Software Quality Analyst'.
It is mainly focused to improve the quality of your software product and avoid any unncessary efforts. So as to save time, money and improve efficiency.
Now a days , quality is a key word in whole IT industry. This 'quality' word has multiple dimensions in it. Quality improvement should not be achieved at the cost of time and money.
There are different techniques to achieve this. There are many respected people in this field who have done tremendous work in this field. Six Sigma is one of the widely used techniques. We have ISO norms, which are applicable for all types of business.

The basic purpose of CQSA is not to master you in any of the Quality improvement technique, but to make you aware of the importance of the Quality. Besides that the Curriculum addresses the basics related to Risk Management and IT security. Since 9/11, these areas are considered as critical areas in IT industry. If you go through the course material, you will have an idea.

This certification will definately help you, if you want to build your career in Quality field. It will also help you in job swtich over or promotion in your existing company. But this is just an add on value to your CV. You need to be aware of many things besides this.

This is what is my understanding about this certification. I may be worng at some of the points. Maj can give you more details.

Ashish, you are right.
The basic purpose is to make you aware of all different models existing and how each one is different.
There are fundamentals like 6 sigma, TQM etc.
Also it gives guidelines on staged models like CMM, CMM-I etc.

How to use all these fundametals and improve quality of your product/service/process is up to you.

It also talks about overall SDLC phases and guides you about testing concepts.

There is also an CSTE exam by the same QAI and it is particulary useful if you want to go in the testing field. As you can see, this is also currently quite a field in demand.

Easier is to copy and paste the stuff in your word/notepad and read it. What's the point in requesting a mod. to upload the same contents again ?

milindaa, nantar tuzi mail nahi ali.. tula sagali Ans milali ka?

here are some sample case studies asked in this exam:
1. You are a Systems Analyst. Your organization tells you to implement a particular Systems Development Methodology. In implementing it all the standards are followed. Yet there are cost and schedule overruns and employees are not happy. Who do you hold responsible for the poblem and why?

2. Users are not the only customers of a software product. Name any three other groups or customers and how u would represent their perspective in the software life cycle processes.

PMP - Project Mgmt Professional

Misconception about exam criteria:
1. You need project management experience.
2. You need experience in all project knowledge/process groups.
3. Its useful only for Information technology Industry.

Resources for more information:
1.
Project Mgmt Institute official site
2. PMP®/CAPM® Exam Prep Products

Tips & Tricks:
1. Become PMI member which saves you some $$ on actual exam fees.
2. Use Rita maulcahy's 'PMP Exam Prep' book as primary study guide.
3. Atleast go-thru/glance PMBOK guide once before the exam....
4. If possible try and use PMP simulation software and determine your weak areas.

AnauBavaacao baÜla :
PMP Exam is 4 hours and you are presented with 200 multiple choice questions. Word of caution - even though you might take just 2-2:30 hrs during simulation PMP exam, you would be surprised that during actual exam it does take 3:30-4 hrs to solve 200 questions. Do not be over confident, be prepared for a tough exam with tricky choices.

Good Luck!

Yes. What Yogi says is right.
The appl form is scrutinized in detail. Even if you don't put an end date to your current project, they still ask that information and confirm that it is indeed your current project. So pls fill in the form very carefully.
