We, all know internal windows search is broken, its useful only to find files with file name. But in case if you want to find out a file with a word in it, there is no good alternative. Google Desktop is ok, but one cannot specify look into xyz folder and search only here. Plus google takes huge space on hard disk. and I dont like google, its just too advanced and i am really worried about my privacy.
anyway so, Angent Ranksack is really good small software which can give you all the features you expect from a desktop based search software. Give it a shot.

ह्या सॉन्गबर्ड मध्ये एकाच गाण्याला अनेक आर्टिस्ट देता येतात का? ... उदा. गाणे duet असेल तर दोन्ही गायकांच्या लिस्ट मध्ये गाणे
दिसते का? itunes मध्ये असं नाही करता येत बहुतेक....... मला itunes अजिबात आवडलं नाही...

भारत आणि ईतर काही देश सोडले तर बाकी सगळीकडे चित्रपटांमधे गाणी नसतात. गायक किंवा Band, album काढतात आणि त्यामुळे बहुतेक सॉफ्टवेअर मधे तुम्हाला by default गाणी Artist & Genre नुसार दाखवली जातात.
आपल्या भारतीय गाण्यांसाठी हे सॉफ्टवेअर थोडे customise करावे लागते, जसे वरील चित्रात मी केलेय, first column, by year, next by Album name, and later by artist. otherwise you'll end up in creating hundreds on playlists for each movie, as all our songs have only one genre and that is "soundtrack". The default layout is suitable for english songs which are not bound to a movie.

मस्त टेक्निक आहे.
बहुधा याच इव्हॅपोरेशन टेक्निक वर आपला मातीचा माठ पण काम करतो. आमच्याकडे कोकणात उन्हाळ्याच्या दिवसांत माठामध्ये कोथिंबीर, लिंबं वगैरे ठेवतात.
मी ही लिंक हेमलकशाला पाठवतेय. तिथे पण लोड शेडिंगच्या काळात वाघ वगैरेंचं मांस जतन करून ठेवायला छान आयडिया आहे. अगदी सुरुवातीच्या काळात विलास मनोहरांनी (`नेगल'फेम) रॉकेलवर चालवायचा फ्रीज बनवला होता असं ऐकून आहे. ते रेफ्रिजरेशनमधले तज्ज्ञ आहेत. त्यांना पण सांगते.

आपण अनेकदा मायाजाळा वरुन बरेच softwares उतरवुन घेतो...बर्याच वेळेला ते काढुनही टाकतो..पण तरी Registry मधे त्यांच्या entries रहातात...आणि त्यामुळे संगणकाचा वेग कमी होणे, हँग होणे असे प्रकार होणे सुरु होते...त्याच्बरोबर काही वेळा बरेच softwares install केले की त्याची entry ही start-up मधे जाउन बसते, आणि जेव्हा-जेव्हा आपण संगणक सुरु करु तेव्हा-तेव्हा हे programs सुरु होतात..आणि machine भयंकर हळू होते.
त्यासाठी CCleaner हे software खुप छान आहे...हे फुकट आहे आणि वापरायला ही अगदी सोपे आहे..आणि एकदम कमी जागा व्यापते..या मधे Registry Clean-up बरोबरच, Browser ची History Delete करणे, Program uninstall,
start-up मधुन programs च्या entries delete करणे असे अनेक पर्याय उपलब्ध आहेत..
