March 12, 2006   आज Central Park मधे गेलो होतो, काय मस्त वातावरण होते, जोश, life, spirit जे काही म्हणता येईल ते सर्व बघायला मिळाले. तिथला उत्साह बघुन मलापन माळ्यावर ठेउन दिलेले Rollar Blades काढावेसे वाटतायत, बघु किती दिवस उत्साह टिकतोय.

April 03, 2006   कालपासुन पळायला सुरवात केली. आणि काही म्हणजे काहीच stamina राहीला नाहीय हे लक्षात आले. घरापासुन Goldman Sachs ची building एक मैल पण रस्ता नाहीय, मिनीमम १० वेळा तरी थांबलो असेल एवढिसे पळताना. माझा कुठल्याही गोष्टीतला उत्साह फार दिवस टिकात नाही. लहान असताना मी chaitanya health club ७ वेळा वेगवेगळ्या व्यायम प्रकारांसाठी join केला होता आणि दर वेळेस महीन्याभरातच राम राम, स्वतः कमवायला लागल्यावर talwalkar join केले, ते लै म्हणजे ३ महिने चालु होते, एक दिवस काहीतरी कारणाने गेलो नाही, त्यानंतर कधीच नाही. गेल्या उन्हाळ्यात inline skates चा प्रयोग झाला महीनाभर... त्यामुळे बघु अजुन किती दिवस पळायला जातोय, आज पाऊस पडणार आहे असे दिसतेय, म्हणजे आजचे तर बारगळलेच.

I have droped the goodbye mail to everyone here. ऑफीस मधुन हितगुज वरचा हा शेवटचा message. प्रचंड स्वप्न मनात घेवुन, ज्या ठिकाणी US मधे सुरवात केली ती जागा आज १८ महीन्यानंतर सोडतोय. गणिताची खुप उजळणी झाली ईथे. June 04, 2006   आहाहा!!! काय दिवस आहे आजचा... सकाळी ११:३० ला जाग आली... १२:३० पर्यंत असाचा bed मधे t.p. करत बसलो... मग brush coffe बनवली व सोफ्यावर लोळत t.v. बघत बसलो... १:३०-२:०० वाजता भुक लागली... roompartner ची gf आलेली तिने जेवन बनवले.... ते पन मी सोफ्यावर लोळत असतानाच तिथे ताट आनुन दिल... आईग... ईतक सुख. शेवटी आता झोप यायला लागली म्हणुन तिथुन उठलो.... जवळ जवळ गेल्या २-३ महीन्यांमधला best sunday

September 28, 2007   पुढचे पाठ... मागचे सपाट. मी ज्या दिवशी संगणक शिकायला सुरवात केली, तेव्हा introduction lecture मधे आम्हाला हा problem सांगीतला होता. तुमच्याकडे १ ते १०० पर्यंत च्या अंकाच्या चिठ्या आहेत आणि दोन खोल्या आहेत. एका गड्याने सगळ्या चिठ्या, ज्यावरच्या अंकाला २ नाने सम प्रमाणात भाग जाईल त्या पहील्या खोलीत टाकल्या आणि विषम अंकाच्या दुसर्‍या खोलीत. आता जर तुम्हाला ४३ नंबरची चिठ्ठी शोधायची असेल तर काय कराल? वेडा माणूस्: पहील्या खोलीत जाईल, व प्रत्येक चिठ्ठी उघडुन त्यात कोणता अंक आहे ते बघेल. ४३ नंबरची चिठ्ठी नाही सापडली. दुसर्‍या खोलीत जाईल, व परत चिठ्या बघायला लागेल. जेव्हा ४३ ची चिठ्ठी सापडेल, तेव्हा सापडली सापडली म्हणत बाहेर येईल. शहाणा माणूस्: ४३ ला दोनाने भागेल, विषम भागाकार आला म्हणून लगेच दुसर्‍या खोलीत जाईल, ४३ नंबरची चिठ्ठी घेऊन येईल. अगदी हाच problem गेल्या काही दिवसापासुंन मला त्रास देत होता. माझ्याकडे काही ५०,०००,०० - ६०,०००,०० शब्द होते जे मला दोन वेगवेगळ्या संगणकावर टाकायचे होते. पण हे कळत नव्हते की कोणता शब्द कोणत्या संगणकावर आहे, हे पटकण कसे सांगता येईल. कुठेतरी लिहुन ठेऊ का की, अमुक शब्द अमक्या संगणकावर आहे? for programmers, shall I keep some Map instance, which'll tell me where a particular object resides? October 04, 2007   New York City. The only city in US, I am missing you very much. Rest of the US is like village in front of you. Why did I moved to Stamford? I spent 3 years on your land, and now I moved to this strange place. its just 30 miles aways from you, but its nowhere comparable with you. I feel as if I have moved to a totally different country. People in city are friendly, there are people in city, there are various types of people in city. In this place there are only two types of people, white and Indian (south-Indian). I feel scared sometimes while walking on road, when I see my people walking in big groups. thats just one scary site. This place is is like pimpari-chinchwad. People will look at me with strange eyes if I am walking with Mr. D (Nikon D70). Hardly anyone uses iPod here. I thought I'll try to get some rest by moving here, but this is too much of rest. I just cannot handle it. I miss south street seaport, I miss free staten island ferry, i miss people from all different countries in subway, I VERY MUCH MISS THE FOOD ON ROADSIDE STALLS, I miss the dirty roads, I miss the travelers, I miss the village (east, greenwich, soho), I just miss everything. In city, though I am walking on same road, I was able to see something new everyday. October 28, 2007   leopard, the next big cat काल बर वाटत नव्हते तरी रात्रभर जागुन Apple OS X चे नविन version leopard install केले. नविन OS मधला मला सगळ्यात जास्त आवाडलेला प्रकार म्हणजे Finder मधे coverflow windows user साठी, windows explorer मधे file शोधण्यासाठी ह्यांनी एक नविन प्रकार शोधुन काढलाय if you have used iTunes before, you may have been already familiear with what coverflow is. Its really great new way to visually search for what you are looking. here is screenshot of how my Finder (windows explorer) looks like now. I can see a quick preview for all the files in folder, quickly scroll through huge number of files and visually figure out what document I am looking for. next helpful item is, I can resize any text box on web page. so when I am using this devnaagari window to type in message, I can resize these two boxes and get more real estate to type in stuff. there are many other nice features, but at moment these two are my fev. if you are interested in knowing more, you can visit http://www.apple.com/macosx/guidedtour/ to get some visual treat.
