धर्मांतर हा ज्याचा cयाचा परीस्थीतीनुसार घेतलेला वा मिळलेला निर्णय असतो.
धर्मांतर चुक वा बरोबर nobody could not decide,
but धर्मांतर करण्यास लावणे is absolutly wrong .
Asking or Motivating people to change their Identity is wrong.

हिंदु धर्म सोडल्यास ईतर धर्मात आपले अनुयायी वाढवणे हे एक धर्मकार्यच असते, त्यामुळे यासाठी खास प्रयत्न होताना दिसतात. हिंदु धर्म हा मुळात धर्म नव्हेच, ती एक जीवनपद्धति आहे, त्यामुळे ईथे राहणारे सगळेच हिंदु, ईथे कुणाला हिंदु व्हावे लागत नाही ( ईतर धर्मात दिक्षा घ्यावी लागते ) त्यामुळे असा प्रसार झाला नाही.
पण ज्यांचे धर्मांतर झाले, त्यानी तरी स्वखुषीने हा निर्णय घेतला का ? अजिबात नाही. त्यांची फ़सवणुकच झाली.
मला ईतिहास नीट माहित नाही, पण त्यावेळी जर हिंदु धर्माने, विहिरीत पाव वैगरे टाकुन केलेले धर्मांतर जर अमान्य केले असते. ईतक्या छोट्या घटनेने तुम्ही भ्रष्ट झाला नाहीत. असा दिलासा दिला असता, तर हो तेढ वाढली नसती, असे मला वाटते.
ईथे जन्मलेला कुणीच मुळ ख्रिस्ती नाही, वा मुस्लीम नाही. सगळे आपलेच आहेत. हा विश्वास, अजुनहि त्याना द्यावा लागेल.

पारसी हा एक असा धर्म जो फ़क्त जन्मानेच मिळतो. धर्मान्तर करुन पारसी होता येत नाही. मला वाटते ज्यु धर्म पण असच आहे पण मला नक्की माहीत नाही.
लिंगायत धर्माची पण दिक्षा असते पण ती वयाच्या १२ व्या दिवशी दिली जाते. पण त्यानंतर मुंज वगैरे काही नसते.
बसवेश्वरानी ह्या धर्माची स्थापना केली पण कुणालाही जोर जबरदस्तीने धर्मांतर करायला लावले नाही.
मला वाटते forcefully आपला धर्म वाढवणारे असे धर्म फक्त २ मुस्लिम आणी\इ ख्रिश्चन.
सध्या जागात सत्तेसाठी पैशासाठी चालेली युद्धे पण मुख्यत: ह्याच दोन धर्मांमधे चाललेली दिसतात.

दिक्षा is there in Hidu culture.
Nature has created Flowers,Animals,Human...
Rose, Sunflower.. all r Flowers but all r different,
all have diffrent identity.
Dog,Cat,Tiger...all r Animals but all r diffrent all have diffrent identity.
Like this Hindu,Muslim,Christ...all r basically humans
but all have diffrent identity.
We all r same but our identity is diffrent .
It is eveybodys social responsibility,
to Respect others n their religion (social identity).
Some people Ask , Motivate, Force others to change their identity is wrong,why to ask somebody to change his/her identity??

दिक्षा म्हणजे संन्यास नव्हे. निदान लिंगायत धर्मात तरी नाही. दिक्षा म्हणजे स्वामी मन्त्र देउन एक लि.ग देतात त्याची पूजा करुन ते रोज गळ्यात घालावयाचे असते.
रामदास स्वामी वगैरे लोकानी संन्यास घेतला नव्हता.
जैन धर्मात दिक्षा घेतली की संन्यास घेतला असे म्हणतात. त्याच्या मागची कारणे, इतिहास मला माहिती नाही.

दिक्षा म्हणजे संसाराचा (परीवाराचा, मोहाचा,राग,लोभ ई. चा) त्याग करणे व समाजाच्या हीता सठी प्रवचन देणे. ई. कामे करणे. संन्न्यास म्हणजे ही असच ना?
रामदास स्वामी वगैरे लोकानी दिक्षा घेतली नसली तरी संन्यास
घेतला होता ना? दिक्षा is another word for संन्यास .
Only thing in Jainism way of संन्यास is diffrent n is more strickt.

secondly, why are you all the time confused about identity and religion. Religion is a belief system. Identity in its broder sense is unique and stuck to everyone since birth. धर्म म्हणजे एक सामाजिक वसाहतीने वापरायच निती मुल्य वर्णन. त्या वसाहतीच विश्वासाच आणि श्रद्धेच मुळ, त्याची ओळख नव्हे...
दिक्षा आणि संन्यास पुर्णपणे वेगवेगळे आहेत.
रामदास स्वामींनी संन्यास घेतला नव्हता.
संन्यास घेणे म्हणजे एक प्रकारे स्वतःला एकलकोंड करुन घेणे. रामदास स्वामींनी ते कधीच च केल नव्हत. तो जास्तीचा च गरजेचा वाटला.
दिक्षा हा मुळ शब्द बुद्धिस्ट लोकांनी रुढ केला. मॉनेस्ट्रीत जाणे म्हणजे दिक्षा घेणे अस नाही अस बुद्धिस्ट सांगतात. मानवसेवा करण म्हणजे दिक्षा घेणे.
संन्यास घेण्यामध्ये बरेच प्रकार असतात. फक्त लग्न न करणे म्हणजे संन्यास घेणे होत नाही.
दिनेश, हिंदु धर्म हा मुळात धर्म नाही ती जीवनपद्धती आहे हे वाक्य ऐकायला छान वाटत पण त्यावर जरा खुपच खोलात जावुन विचार करावा. जीवनपद्धती बदलु शकते पण धर्माची मुल्ये नाही. ज्याला आपण हिंदु धर्म म्हणतो तो मुळात वैदिक धर्म आहे. पुढे वैदिक धर्मालाच लोक हिंदु धर्म म्हणु लागले.
या चर्चेवर खुप काही लिहीता येइल. पण असो, आता मुळ विषयाकडे वळतो.
धर्मांतर:- कठिण विषय आहे. याच उत्तर शोधण ज्याच त्याच काम.

In USA whenever I see Indian face I go n ask "R u from India?"
Currently I m in Pella, Iowa. One day I saw one girl(Indian Face)of 13-14 years, in Liabrary. I went to her n asked "R u Indian", she said "I m from India but not Indian".She told me about her.Her story is:-
She is born in India n has 2 brothers. These 3 kids lost their parents before 10 years,when they were too small.But fortunatly they got Parents again. One family in USA adopted them n they came to USA with their new parents.These kids were Hindu, but after adoption now they r Christian.
In IOWA there r 50 familes who has adopted kids from India.
In India I use to go to "अनाथ आश्रम", life which these adopted kids r living is very good as compare to kids in "अनाथ आश्रम".These kids go to good school, eat good food, have got Standared life.
You know Sarang, sometime I feel they have got much good life than kids of poor, middle class Prents in India.
Conversion was not their decision, they got this decision.But Conversion has given them Parents, Home,Education,Standared Life.
Before meeting few of these families who has adopted kids from India , I use to think "Conversion is wrong".Now my opinion is,nobody could not decide conversion is right or wrong."Every Coin has 2 sides" is true.
About Identity
Religion is Indentity of person in society. Society knows person as He is Hindu, He is Sikh in this manner I have used word Identity.

Religion is a belief system is correct.
Every religion has set of belifes like; whether to eat nonveg or not, whether to eat potato or not.....Every person follows certain religion (set of belifes)which is his life style n which is his Identity.
The way in which person spends his life in Society makes his Identity.Person who do not eat nonveg,ground vegetables we call him Jain as it is in Jainism not to eat nonveg,ground vegetables. When we call person Jain we Identify him.
In human society diffrent groups r there, (Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jain...) who follows particular set of beliefs (religion). Person is known by group to which he/she belongs, identity of his/her group is his/her identity-religion.
Religion is Social Identity of person.

Ask yourself about the identity of the kids of your story. You may get the answer. I will again say relogion is not the persons identity. Yes it may be or it is social identity, but upto a certain extent.
I will not call a person as Jain just because he is not eating nonveg or so....
And that too because it is stated in Jainism, I know n number of Jain people who eat everything. What then?
In your story, you want to emphasise that religion change is turning good. There are a lot of stories where conversion turned out to be a big problem. Thus the moral of the story I am telling is... It is the attitude which gives karma rating to the thing.

Second I am a Maharashtrian...

My basic identity before my birth, through out my life and after death is just what my religion says...

I did not say, Religion is complete identity
I said it is Social Identity.
Story which I shared with u is not Story its Truth (True Story).
All these adopted kids says, they r kids of Jesus. For me n for them their Identity is American n Christian.
I m Indian is my identity in Universe
I m Maharashtrian is my State level Identity in India.
I m Marahti is my identity in case of language.(My Parents r Gujrathi but as I m born in MH n I m from Marathi School)
I m Jain is my Religious n Social identity.
Main point "conversion right or wrong" is
everybodys personal decision.
Motivating or Asking people to change their
Universal,Social,Religious... Identity is wrong.
