what the country has given us is not the question its what u owe to your country.

Our country has given us a right to go against all the evil things which may harm our society but only we need is guts to prove our point which no one ever dares to do.

It is very easy to point others mistake but when we ourselves are not perfect we can't expect others to do something good for us.

Its like "AS U SOW SO SHALL U REAP".

Even if the farmer doesnt sow seeds then to weeds keep growing why?

Because soil cant differenciate between the seed and weed it has done its duty to grow something....

similarly if we are not going to water (use) our brains properly (seeds)it is forced to think all the negative kind of things (weeds keep growing).

So its our duty to save our Motherland as she has done her duty by giving us space to live.so lets not blame our country but put a step forward to safe guard her.

hello Rahul..

It seems that there is little bit confusion...

It was explanation of word "today" in my previous comment to "Asching".

Generally, it is said that there are many loop holes in our country's System.... in education, employment, food, shelter, social life, everywhere... and we suffer because of it..

when one thinks that my country is not giving me anything that time he has to think what I m giving to my country..

what i feel is being common man though we could not do something great, at individual level we can maintain good code of coduct.. and start....

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long supressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of Inida and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity.

The achievement we celebrate today is but a step, an opening of opportunity, to the greater triumphs and achievements that await us.

Freedom and power bring responsibility. Before the birth of freedom we have endured all the pains of labour and our hearts are heavy with the memory of this sorrow. Some of those pains continue even now. Nevertheless, the past is over and it is the future that beckons to us now.

The ambition of the greatest man of our generation has been to wipe every tear from every eye. That may be beyond us, but as long as there are tears and suffering, so long our work will not be over.

India stands forth again, after long slumber and struggle, awake, vital, free and independent.

We rejoice in that freedom, even though clouds surround us, and many of our people are sorrowstricken and difficult problems encompass us. But freedom brings responsibilities and burdens and we have to face them in the spirit of a free and disciplined people.

Our next thoughts must be of the unknown volunteers and soldiers of freedom who, without praise or reward, have served India even unto death.

Jai Hind.
