I would like to know if anyone has done e-MBA.

I have personally seriously considered it but decided not to do e-MBA myself.
I have spoken to many people who had done MBA. The primary benefit from doing MBA from a good school is not just the academic instructions but the networking you achieve as part of MBA program. And it requires lot of interactions. MBA from some of the good schools is valauable mainly because you get to know people who are likely to be very successful in future and that helps your future growth.
There was a recent controvercial article in Harvard Business Review (grand daddy of management journals). It claimed the current MBA education (on Campus) does not add much value academically. It was written by a professor who teaches MBA courses at ivy league schoools. The sucess of the MBA graduates could be attributable to the access to networks MBA students get over couse of time.
Above is true only for Management courses. For technical courses (or MS, M Tech), doing remotely or online can be a very good alternative.

Hi Ajay,
Thanks a lot for the valuable information. Many management institutes are introducing e-MBA which is mainly designed for professionals. Duration for the same is 18 months and not the 2/3 years as normal university MBA degree. Ajay I do want to know that how beneficial e-MBA would be .

sarika,accoding to me, its better to do mba frm recognised b-school as u get pratical expeience from it.

Ajay: Absolutely correct and very true about networking, although it is upto an individual how effectively he/she associates themselves in such events.
