can this charges be considered under Cht. VIA - expenditure on spl medical treatment - section 80 DD B - rule 11 DD -Hemiballismus is the disease specified there - by submitting certificate as per form 10 I ....also how the % of disability is considered ?
i have talked to the Dr. s under whom treatment is going on at Pune regarding this certificate
i have checked the details of diseases and rule 11 DD & form 10 I etc. at website of income tax india....

Section 17(2). If you employer contributes to your medical bill its exempt til 15000. (Many employers do contribute for health now, if you have not taken that benefit enquire about it).

80 DD ( as you enquired) you can take benefit of that.

Deduction under this section is available to an individual who:
Incurs any expenditure for the medical treatment, training and rehabilitation of a disabled dependant; or
Deposits any amount in schemes like Life Insurance Corporation for the maintenance of a disabled dependant. An annuity or a lump sum amount is paid to the dependant or to a nominee for the benefit of the dependant in the event of the death of the individual depositing the money, from the said scheme,

A deduction of Rs 50,000 is available. Where the depandant is with a severe disability, a deduction of Rs 75,000 is allowed.

But for some reason if they decline 80DD you can opt for 80 DDB under which

An individual, resident in India spending any amount for the medical treatment of specified diseases affecting him or his spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters and who are dependant on him, will be eligible for a deduction of the amount actually spent or Rs 40,000, whichever is less.

We have taken 80 DD for my cousin brother for whole 75000.

If you need assitance let me know. ( I will revise my tax skills for Indian taxtion) Or go to any DTL guy (CA not required), he will do it in 200 Rs.

There is a disability compansestion act. I use to remember that while studying what % is what. But I do not remember now.
But for dependents (your kid is too small) dont know that 40% is right (or I might be mistaking the it with some diff. law).
80 DD as it says you can take 50/75000.
I would say you should go to any Tax consultant who have Medical experiance.(submission).

खुपशी लोक ppf, life insurance, mediclaim, tax relief bonds हेच जास्त वापरतात.
