We are glad you asked.
You are not alone. We get this question very frequently.
First you will need to download Marathi Fonts.
Maayboli has collected
information on various fonts and utilities which will help you write in marathi.

Also watch "Hitguj" for more information.
Soon we are going to start an online tutorial
to help many readers like you. This will provide
you help using marathi in email, webpages
and other applications.

Administrator,

I tried to post the text in Devpooja but it did not work. What could be the reason?

Devpooja font is not supported because it is
not really free. It is shareware. Also you need
special software to write it, which is not the
case for "shivaji" font. We support
only the "shivaji" font which is completely
free and was created specially for public domain.
If we support more fonts, everybody will write
in their fonts (and that is fine with us) but
the readers will need to download and
install that many fonts.

To Rahul,
when you downloaded the fonts file, what was the
ext. of file (exe, com or ttf)?
If it is exe, you can run from start menu.
If it is ttf please
follow the instructions that came with font.
Which will be most likely as below.
1. Store the file in temp folder.
2. Goto control panel and open fonts folder.
3. From the top menu, under file, choose install
new font.
4. Choose the correct drive and folder where you
stored the downloaded file.
5. If you are in correct folder, you should see
the font name in "list of fonts"
6. select the font you want to install and press OK.

hope this helps

thanks for helping .
it might work.i am confused about unzipping of file. where is this pkunzip stuff

these r the commands:
1.Click on Download Now at the bottom. Click on the option save it to a disk and click on O.K.
This saves a file called font.zip to your
machine.

2. Please unzip this file using pkunzip.

3. Unzipping will extract the files - DVSROBTT.ttf , DVSROITT.ttf
DVSROXTT.ttf .Please save these files in your windows system
directory.

4.Click on Refresh /Reload button on your browser.

Rahul,
you will need utility called pkunzip for uncompressing these file. Search for this
utlity on shareware sites such as download.com or hotfiles.com.
Another nice utility is winzip which is available
on these sites and you will need it many times so it is worth downloading one of these utilities.
So install one of these utilities first.
And then using those, uncompress the font files.
By the way both Kesari, lokmat sites are external sites to maayboli so we do not have any control on how they write the instructions. I am just helping you to install fonts.

You should be able to write using any standard wordprocessor like microsoft word, wordpad etc. Just change the font to shivaji and type. If you have downloaded the file, it comes with a "doc" file which shows keyboard mapping. To write here on hitguj follow the procedure given in
welcome to hitguj->you can also write in marathi
