No issues. This should be on of the easiest of visas to get. I stopped in Singapore on both onward and return legs on my last trip to India.

You can get all the info from
http://www.mfa.gov.sg/consular/

Click on the link "Visa Information".

BTW, a copy of a confirmed return ticket in and out of Singapore is a must to get this visa.

Hope this helps.

I did it from here, which I think is safe. At least the visa.(which I got for 30 days, is single entry and costs $13). While coming back I got a something called "special pass", at the airport, on the spot, which too is single entry but valid only for 24 hrs. So, if you need a visa, it's better to have before leaving US itself, but if you need a visit pass, you can try at the Changi Airport.

The consulate for our region is in SFO. I sent the papers on Monday, got back the visa on Thursday. They don't ask for passport etc, so you can use normal 34c post. Visa is a single sheet of paper, which you show to at the immigration counter and they'll stamp your visa.

Singapore is great fun for 2-3 days. Enjoy!!
