I have not been a regular visitor of HG, but whenever I do visit, I get a good feedback on my queries... here I am with another one, and appreciate any response, personal experiences in this matter.
How easy / difficult is it to migrate to Dubai after living in the US for a long time (over 5 years) ?
How is the job market in Dubai for It people ?
What is the salary range (approx in $$), and saving potential compared to US ?
How is the school system in Dubai ? Are the Indian schools good ?

Life in dubai is cool but weather is HOT (42-48):-)
jun end - mid sep is summer time (worst) but oct-feb is too good.
250+ schools..most of them are indian & good ones.(very expensive)
earning is lower as compare to $'s but UAE is TAX FREE tyamule dokyala tap nahi :-)
2 salary madhe ghar sajte. fridge,tv,vcr,ac,furniture etc.kai pahije te..
marathi mandal aahe. mandir aahe.ganpati bastat.diwali jorat sajri hote.
relegion(H-M)cha 0% problem aahe.
dubai madhe barach freedom aahe, as compare to sharjah & abu dhabi.
city choti aahe but planed & well maintained.
Getting a driving license is more difficult than getting a wife :-)
lagnachya reception peksha mothi party detat lok lic. milalya nantar.
batchlor & nirvyasni asal tar u can save money like anything.
family sathi main kharcha mhanje house rent & education.sharjah madhe rent khupach kami aahe tyamule 30% loka up-down kartat ( 30 -40 mins drive)
IT market itka kahi changla nahiye karan Dubai mhanje complete trading.
tumhi jar US madhe asal tar tithech raha.
Middle East madhe saglyat jasta scope sales/marketing la aahe.
jar kuthali company visa sponser karat asel tar sopa aahe nahitar barach tras hoto.

My husband is into IT Marketing for a company based in the US. He makes around $100K a year (salary + commissions etc). His company now wants him to set up an office in the Middle East (Dubai) and send him on company transfer. Our GC are done, but no citizenship yet. (GC done 1.5 years back).
I too work as a senior programmer in an IT company earning abt $75K(I have 10 yrs exp in Oracle). IF my husband moves to Dubai, it means I will have to quite my job.
His company has promised to pay him in US $ salary + company flat.
Is this a good deal?? we are in a great dilema !! ek mana saaMgato kI duba mhNjao BaartajavaLÊ Aaplao saMskar jara jast p`maaNaat idsatat becoz ther are many Indians / cultural programs / schoold etc promoting our culture, which I find as the biggest plus point for my 3 yr old son. Also I have heard that if you get paid in US $$, you land up saving quite a bit...
Also I'm curious to know what my job prospects would be like .....

Jar apli company visa provide karat asel, flat asel ani salary hi USD madhe asel tar kahich problem nahiye.Dubaila yenat kahi harkat nahiye.
Dubai madhe jya goshti sathi major kharcha hoto to comapny tumhala det aahe tyamule to vichar karnyachi garaj nahi.
ithe schools hi changli aahet.
Mazya mate US peksha Dubai madhe apan aplya mulanvar jasta changle sanskar karu shakta.(I also do not want to start an argument guys:-)
me adhi sangitlya pramane life in dubai is cool.kahi problem nahiye.secured aahe.
people are enjoying their life here as in India.
Tumhala kadhich asa vatnar nahi ki tumhi bharata baher aahat.
people are supporting & helping nature.
the ratoi is... out of 100% population 70% are Indians.
tumcha res. visa stamp zala ki u can bring ur parents also.dependant visa process will not take more than a day or two.
about job..
tumhala jar yevdha exp.(10yrs)aahe tar mag job sathi bahuda problem yenar nahit..i mean nahich yenar.
U'll get a paid leave of 1 month in a year.(i'm not sure about ur case coz it's company x'fer from US to ME)
what is the leave rule in the US ?
